Cars in German Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police Report

Police mentioned they were notified by a man who discovered a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Roughly fifty cars have been marked with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Cars, walls and mailboxes were marked, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they announced in a statement.

Officers state they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a man observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish liquid.

The liquid had been applied in the shape of a swastika, they reported.

Officers then discovered numerous other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations outlawing the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials report initial examinations indicate the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no clue as to its origin; investigators are not yet aware of any injuries in association with the incident," they added.

Local authorities stated they were attempting "to resolve the incident" and have appealed to the community for details.

A high-ranking political figure stated the incident left him stunned and had to be addressed promptly.

"This act hits the core of Hanau and revives the pain of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he stated on social media, referring to the murder of nine victims by a assailant targeting individuals of migrant background in 2020.
